Default 408 cams. Best all around

What cam seems to be the most popular amoung you 408 guys? Ecspecially you that are spraying. Ive done a ton of reading & not sure which one I want to get. My CR will be right around 10.9-1, & I plan on spraying at least 150. This isnt an everyday driver so extreme doesnt really matter to me. I have a brand new F13 that im seriously thinking about throwing in there just to see what it does, I know its baby, but in the "smallest 408 cam thread" theres a couple smaller than that. It might sound stupid but its worth a shot. So post your cam suggestions.

Thanks in advance,
Vann

I have a Comp Cams 244/248 XE-R and I have been tuning it myself and I have it to when it has stock like driving manners until you mash the gas...

I would agree that something in the 240/242 or 244/248 range would be best all around.

2001 what kind of numbers are you putting down with ls1 stage two castings? Looking into a similar setup maybe even an all bore 4.200 bore motor with stock crank and my ls1 heads that flow 299@ .600 306 @ .650 ?

Same here, I have pretty much the same set up as you except mine goes thru a PG and a 9" spool, not street driven.

My heads flow 308@.600 I don't have any dyno numbers. There isn't a dyno close by. Soon as I get a chance to dyno it I will but I should have track times before that.
