Smile H.P. Street Fuddle 3600stall / 2.2str

To put it in one word I would have to say DAMN. I have riden in *older* stalled cars before but driving one is a whole nother game. This thing will brake stall over 3000rpm, and flashes around 4000rpm as best I could tell while watching the road. Its a little looser than I thought it would be but i'll adjust quick. Right after startup there was a little ticking sound like a lifter but that has died down or quit all together with a little driving. The 1-2 shift is good but the 2-3 shift hits the limiter. I turned down the "on" temps for the fans and the temps are staying around the same as stock. So far I am very happy with this mod. I'll post up links to some vids once they are ready.

Good to hear that you like yours too.

I'm getting my car tuned tomorrow, so hopefully some of my problems go away as well. What tranny cooler did you get?

its odd that the guys that are buying fuddle convertors are all "first time" big convertor owners it seems. not knocking you at all. just an observation. i would like to see someone that had a yank/tci/vig and then switched to fuddle and see how they compare.

Scotty-Z, I have a Hayden cooler 22k if I remember correctly.

Gator, If you have an issue of Car Craft Nov04 page 27. Pro Cheap Street top qualifer and event winner Jeremy Taylor is the man that installed my converter. His words were close to "thats one hell of a converter" sorry I dont remember word for word. And when I told him I planed on getting 3.73's later he said that I may want to go with 4.10's. So like I said i've ridden in many stalled cars just havent driven them untill now.

PS. I know you said not knocking and I understand that. I just thought I would give the installers feedback.

I forgot to put in the above post but he has won many of those events *maybe around 10* and took second in a few of them to. So its not like he just got lucky.

nope i didnt mean to knock either the convertor or the purchasers. just something i have noticed. most guys that race with the "bigger name" convertors wont change their combos so i doubt i will see the scenerio i want any soon. in time it will happen.

I have had a Yank in my 01 WS6 for 4 years and recently switched to a Fuddle street 3200 2.1str. I can tell you with all the confidence in the world I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER 1000.00 CONVERTER. It is handling my 650hp just fine. You can pay for a name if you want but I only want to pay for the product not egos. I have talked with a few guys who have switched from Yanks and Vigs who are VERY happy with their Fuddles. Only time will really tell.

i had a vig and draove a yank for about 2 days and it is no comparison to fuddle. its like buying nike running shoes when you can go down the street to osh cosh and buy the same running shoes for half the price and they last longer and are more durable.

At half the price of the big names when Fuddle is running a special, it's no wonder. I went TCI and couldn't be happier, but if it weren't for TCI I may have went Fuddle. I just cant justify spending the money on a Vig or Yank when the other companies are doing just as good at the track (TCI mainly, but Fuddle seems to be doing alright at the track these days too).

Pm sent to inform. Car is not really setup for track yet, I got the power before the other important stuff. Traction wasn't the problem at first but now it is.

I ordered a HP/Street 3600 2.2str. Should I be able to footbrake a converter of that size around or past 3000rpm because I can?

title says 3,600 with 2.2 str. Looks like im in for alot of fun when my fuddle 3,800 comes in. devonsz, you need to make a vid from a dead stop if you can. Would love to see what rpm it flashes to. In the one vid you hit 5k when you went on the highway.

Buba- ill do a vid from a stop this weekend. The one on the highway I think the car just down shifted and went to the shift extension but im not sure.

Eric- i've been playing with the Predator some but im still working on it.

Anybody know if the Predator completely turns off torque management?

i heard the predator can turn it off, dont know if you need to go online to get that update or not as i have not used the predator. Watching your vids i really dont see any tm issues as it shifts good and it doesnt fall on its face after the shift. tm is a real problem when you add a shift kit.
