Default Finally!

The clutch return spring...IS REPLACED!!!! Holy crap, that was harder than the oil pump swamp! I ended up pulling out the front seat to get more room to work, then pulled the pin that the clutch and brake pedals pivot on. I got the spring in place, then pivoted/leveraged the pedal until the pin lined up again.

For those of you who might be thinking about doing it this way...DON'T! Getting the spring back in place wasn't easy, but getting the pin to line up correctly again took about 45 minutes of jiggling, prying, swearing, and knuckle/elbow scraping.

Now watch the spring break in a week.

There is an easier way always. Glad you got it back together.

Its a lot easier to just remove the gas pedal and snake the pedal assembly out of the car. Fix it on the bench and put it back.

That's what mine did. One of the "tails" broke, so the spring was rubbing on the housing every time the pedal moved. Very annoying.

It takes some of the strain off the hydrualics when bringing the clutch pedal back up. A lot of people run without them once they break, because the hydraulics are strong enough to push the pedal back up without assistance, but I bought the part, I had the time, so i fixed it.
