What's your best 60' with your aftermarket torque converter & REGULAR street tires?
I haven't seen many people with an aftermarket torque converter in their cars disclose their 60 foot time with regular street tires. (When I say regular, I'm not talking about drag radials.) With that said, please answer my question above and also disclose other relevant information such as tire brand and size, launch technique, suspension mods, and (of course) the torque converter specs. Thanks in advance for the info.

LOL! 2.2. LCAs, PHR, TA. Summitomo 315/35/17s. Yank SS3800 - 2.55 STR. Most bolt-ons. Stalled to about 1500, and hammered it. Peddled through the first 30 feet and then grabbed.

Never seen below 2.0 on GS-D3s (on bring-your-fart-can
nights at OSW), myself; the 3.42s and a 2.2:1 STR mean
1st gear is pure paddlewheeling (and the bottom of second
too). I would love to know what others have managed on
these tires, especially at near full weight (like, what might
be gained by some technique). Though I've tried mashing
it, feathering it, and not a tenth's worth of difference.

Does anyone have a 3200 stall with BFG KDWS? I would like to know 60' times with those. M/T E/T streets for the track and KDWS are good daily driving tires with a torque converter. They are great in the rain and last long. M/T for the track, most. def with a converter People should look into getting a extra set of wheels maybe a 17x11 or 17.95 and throw them on the back with a pair of drag radials if they want to bring it to the track, then just throw on the original set after. I think I'm gonna put 17x11's with 315 Nittos or BFG Comp T/A's for the track, with stock 16's in front.

I also achieved the same time on my older yokohama avs db s2's which were 4 season tires @ 23 psi. I dont always have that luck, it greatly depends on track prep and throttle control out of the hole.
As far as street tire times go i dont count mt dr's, nittos, or bfg dr's. I'm talking true street tires like the above.
