Default Dyno Day Good for All

Dyno Day was great, 3-Z06s, 2-C5s, couple GTOs and a passle of F-bodys.
My peak Hp was 480 and torque was 505, much more to come though.
Went to Hooters afterwards and was great, had a good time, but had to leave as my son was broke down. I think Ryan K has it all on CD.

It was good. There were 11 of us, the 3 Z06 and 2 C5 mentioned above, plus 3 04 GTO, 1 05 GTO and 2 F-bods(Jason's Z28 and Howard's TA).

My new numbers are 298 hp and 320 tq. Also, the new software puts everyone's numbers about 10 below what they used to read with the same software, so if comparing to older runs you need to take that into consideration.

It was especially great to see so many GTOs make it.

Was lots of fun guys... dynoing is always a good time, and of course... eye candy at Hooters makes my day as well.

My numbers on the day were: 383 rwhp, 362 rwtq. My previous best (on the custom predator tune) was 381 rwhp, and 351 rwtq. So a nice increase, which is even more impressive because I'm using a smaller cam (F13 vs. 231/237) and larger wheels (18s vs. 17s) than at the previous dyno.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the Speed Secrets tune... power and driveability are there.

I was surprised how low my numbers were. I guess I need to spend more under the hood than I thought ... and step up to the next size pill.

Just remember, the quarter mile is not won on Dyno Numbers. With the average power you have, the car easily at Low-mid 12's off the bottle.

Don't feel bad, mine were 20/20 down from MTI's dyno, so I'm sure it's just the dyno.

Also, don't forget that Ellis was the big Roulette wheel winner at Hooters.

I'm a little bummed out, posten my d. sheet on 'vette forums and couple of people are saying something is not right I should have done A/F

it was cool seeing Ellis work his magic on those GTOs though. Also enjoyed seeing so many GTOs close and personal.

I also wish we would have ran the A/F on yours. It was not till after your runs we found out the Tail pipe sniffer was working. This was a first for us at TT.

BTW Turbo Tech was great as usual!

well I could go and do quick tailpipe AF run at that shop in kirkland but from what I remember, it will lighten my wallet considerably.

Welcome to the Dynojets in Washington...I think every dyno outside our area does a little dyno lovin....Course now with Win pep 7 software you'll always dyno less then companies that don't use it....Dynoing must always be taken with a grain of salt, they are great for tuning and for checking power upgrades after new parts are installed in vehicles. They are not great for dyno racing (queens) numbers, to many ways to cheat. The drag strip is where it's at for the real power to the ground anyway, especially auto cars.

I wouldn't worry about it, the dyno seemed cutting a bit off the numbers.

Remember guys, there is a new federal HP rating standard. Our runs today were with that new software. ALL new cars starting next year are required to have their HP rated with this new system. Many car companies will be revising their HP ratings for models currently in production. Most of these revisions will be downward. For GP comparison add about 10 to your numbers vs. old system dyno numbers.

I had fun guys.........

I hope to have Ellis tune my car when I'm done with the 1st gear bullshit and finally get the headers off my garage floor and into there home (my damn car)!

It was wierd to see Igors Z dyno those numbers You might want to have it dyno tuned and what not. Might want to mod it a little before you dyno tune it. That way you'll only spend the money for the tune once. Just my 2 cents.............

I plan on messing with my shifter in the morning to see if the dumb asses at the shop fucked up my shifter install........If that don't work I'm gonna have the tranny oil changed out with some good stuff (don't know what the shop put in and corvetteforum recommeded it).........If that don't work, I'm gonna hang myself and leave my insurance money to the wife.
