Default What Bottle Jacket/blanket for Florida?

I have a C6 and need a Bottle jacket/blanket.

The NX one for a 15lb bottle is $132!!!!

Is that considered the best one? The NOS one is only $52.

Is the NX one more insulated?

Anyone else have a recommendation? My bottle is in the sun all the time. I do have tinted windows but it doesn’t work well.

The pressure build up from Florida heat is going to be hard to stop even with a blanket. I found I can't leave a bottle in the car if it's parked outside during the day in the summer heat. Last time I did that it pegged over 1600 psi.

I'm suggesting this because I think you'll spend money on a blanket and it won't help. Yes it will stop the direct sunlight, but your car will still be +130* inside.

Just my .02.

The difference between the NX and others on the market are night and day.......

The NX is like a thick Quilt compared to a then sheet.......
When I first seen how much the NX ones were I did not understand why they were so high untill I got one...

As far as the sun being the problem. If its a 100 degress in the car so is everything in the car.Nothing can be done about that. However keeping the directsun off of it will help.

The Black NX bottle jacket works best at retaining bottle heat in winter time and covering up that ugly bottle heater.

The NX wraps all the way around, whereas most all the others hang with an open bottom. Fire and Ice heater cooler might be something to think about. It will keep bottle within 5psi of set pressure. Might be good for a day at the track, but not for every day cause of constant batt drain. It is a low power consumer, so leaving it on for a hour or two at the track between charges shouldn't be a problem.

The NX jacket is built from ballistic Nylon.. It will completely incase the bottle. The jacket is roughly 3/4 + thick. I can do a pressure drop test or rise test to show just how good it is.. The only area that it does not cover is the valve...
And your pricing is way more than any of dealers would sale that to you.. The cost has to do with the materail, the thickness, and just how many layers of material there is.. Just becuase its looks thick does not mean it will do anything for the bottle in the heat or cold.

Another way for you guys to get your bottle temp down in a hurry when rising out of your control, is: just flip the bottle upside down and open the valve, you will feel the coolness moving down the bottle. This works much better than just bleeding extra pressure off. You wont waste as much nitrous. Try it, you'll like it. By the way, I do have a Nitrous Direct bottle blanket and they are nice, a very good value.
