Unhappy I was told my sig pic is too big? Advise?

There is what I had posted. I just finished the engine and want these in the sig. I've seen people with huge banners and there is no problem. These looked pretty small in the sig and I still had them removed. I don't know how to size them. Is there a GOD of digital manipulation aout there (ACW) who might be able to help? I don't take the effort for granted. I'm just not all that smart when it comes to digital stuff, thanks.

Thanks Kraaazymike! I right clicked on the thumbnails, went to properties, copied the address, and inserted them as a photo in my sig and it only has a link that you can click on and the thumbnails are super small and you really can't even tell what the photos are.

Any ideas on how to pust decent sized photos in my sig? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who hosted the original picture for you in the first place? Just use that provider. Upload the actual picture there. Otherwise I dont think you can hyperlink attached images as your sig, has to be an actual http image.

All sig pictures should not exceed 500x150. If you find another person with an image larger than those dimensions please feel free to notify and moderator and we will take care of it. Also no animated signatures are allowed, people on slower connections or older computers have to much trouble with those.

Here's the three photos, i don't know how to cut them down, someone did that for me and it looked good in the sig and the size was good,but...

Those are huge. Sorry, but we prefer signature pictures to not exceed a total size of 500 pixels in width by 150 pixels in height. You can find out its "digital size" as you called it by right clicking on the image, choosing properties, and it will tell you its width and height in pixels.

If you want to put more than one image in your sig, that is fine. However, tha 500x150 rule still applies. We try to avoid "corvette-forumish" signatures with huge pictures in them.

That's right, stoleit's sig pic is 175px high Stoleit, that could easily be cropped or resized, y'know

Re-resized the image (kraaazymike got it the right dimension size, but still almost 100KB -- this is 25% of that filesize ), hosted it, and put it in your sig.

cyphur - Firehawk#608 wasn't using the original-size photos, someone already resized them and put them together in one image for him that he was using in his sig... it just still was not quite small enough It was the image he had displaying in the first post of this thread, but now that seems to be broken, guess someone deleted that file already. When I saw it earlier, it was somewhere around 645x150.

for whatever reason i guess they don't allow hot linking, as i should have the image above this text as well.

http://www.mainstreamtopics.com/memb...2enginesig.jpg

that is the actual link to the image, open it in a new browser and save it to another hosting site Firehawk#608. Then you should be good to go.

Good lookin engine btw
