Default correct idle for 02 A4

whats up yall. got a quick concern (if even that)..i have an A4 and fully warmed in gear it seems to idle at right under 500rpms. and right above 500rpms in park..now i know that the tachs on 00-02s are basically worthless but i was wondering if this was too low or something to b concerned about. btw it never surges or sputters/shakes..stays dead on

it may bounce a little as shes warming up and the oil is still warmed and attempting to drop to 35-40psi but thats normal right. Thanks

Sounds normal - using Predator my in gear RPM's showed 525-585 (about 500 on the tach), P/N was 645-676.

not to hijack the thread, but mine seemed to idle a little higher than above said, and i just put a 4000 stall in and have yet to get it tuned, and it idles lower now, at about 500, and it surges a little. is this normal?

My 01 A4 idles @ 500 and I get little surges. If I push the gas just a tad bit to bring it up to like 550 or so then it idles smooth so I think I want to increase mine. I'm kinda a newb still so could somebody tell me how to increase the idle on my 01 WS6?

its normal, both my 00 z28 and my moms ws6 have the same 450-500 in drive idle, a little above 500 in neutral.

After my TC install my idle would sometimes surge/hunt at low speeds, even die on occasion while coming to a stop - raising the in gear idle fixed mine.
