Default Rear Seat Delete w/ Pics

I did this monday afternoon, it took me about 3 hours. It was a pita for me, but it was worth it. I would of taken pics soon after but I was busy.

So now the weight reductions are Spare tire/jack and rear seats. Thanks LS1tech for the write-up, the search button was my friend.

I removed everything but the dash in three hours, but glad you like it that way. Although I like my back seats for muffling my exhaust a bit more.

If you're going to be a dick, how about you not post at all? Gee, what a concept! Stupid trolls.

Looks good, Andros, I actually just did the mod too. Didn't take me three hours, took me about an hour to do, my bolts were practically welded on and I went through three torx bits just trying to get the damn seatbelt unbolted, I left the buckle in cause I didn't feel like messing with it anymore.

couldnt tthere be like someone to make a carpet kit that will allow you to shave off those bottom brackets in order for you to leave it bare like a backbone of the car? know wha i mean?

I just cut 2 little carpet rectangles from the area opposite the spare tire well, and glued them on the bracket piece to make it match instead of the exposed metal

That area becomes the perfect place for a custom sub box, or other neat thing.

If i ever do it, that's where my N2O bottle will go. Stealthy++

here ya go

note- I put some stuff in the "buckets" like a cd visor pack and a little polishing towel and threw the floormats over them so its kind of level (less of bucket). In the picture the color contrast looks big but its not really noticable.
Also you can cut a little triangle to put on the sides of the bracket (look at top pic) but I didnt bother.

i just pulled the backrest part of the seats out, left the bottom buckets. the buckets are pretty much just foam anyway and weight nothing. So it still resembles stock and dont have to worry about those ugly brackets showing.

damn those are nice, i like that more than the box style, gives it more curves in the back you know?

....now all i need to do is get some new carpet that isnt all cut up! lol

Well SOMEONE has to fight the trolls.

Totally agree with ya, sycotic_reject, that back area is perfect for speakers! Personally, I plan to fiberglass an enclosure for three 12s, an amp, and fire extinguisher.

this site is getting more dicks day by day, within 2 mins i found the 2nd thread i am following meissenation, where people have to bash. If u dont have anything nice to say, dont say it at all. (Those who bash are probably pussies anyways and are jealous) - sorry for being contradictory there, just had to **** them back off a lil

Looks good to those who posted pics. I thought about doing it, but I like the idea of being able to possibly put 4 people in it if needed, hence why i didnt buy a vette, well that and the 500 dollar car payment!
