2002 Camaro SS price
Dad has been jealous of my car for long enough and wants one.
We looked at a 2002 SS, black, 53K miles, all options except leather. It had an SLP lid and MAF, American racing Torq-thrusts in 17"x9"/11", and a nifty charcoal stripe. Amazing condition.
He wants $21,500. I was thinking it was worth more like $18,500 like that. What would you guys say?

Well I used Edmunds and it told me $16,568 private party, but the car had some mods (like the wheels) and it's somewhat rare too, so I added about $1200 for the wheels and $900 for the other stuff for my little $18,500 estimate. I was just wondering if people thought that was reasonable.

Go look up the values on edmunds, kbb, and NADA. Print off all three and show them to the seller, it can be a good bargaining point. If you do this always give the seller the benefit of the doubt..... i.e. put the mileage at 50K, always assume near excellent condition, things like that. Don't leave anything out where the seller could say "well, it's got...."

Just be careful how you approach the seller with that information. If he is like most of us he probably really likes his car and the last thing you want to do is insult him if you want him to be receptive of the price you are willing to pay. I think you are right on on the price by the way. Good luck!

i think 18,5 max as well. those miles arent that great. you can find one with lower miles than that. considering at 60,000 the LS1 is supposed to have a tune up thatll cost over 500 bucks.
