Default I FINALLY have a running race car again!!!! Dick Harrell Widebody is complete..

Well after almost TWO YEARS I have a running/driving car again. Fired it up Friday morning @ 5:30am. Had to head straight to a show to "unveil" the car for a Harrell reunion...

Pics are here.. Click on link, then click on Dick Harrell Progress pics.

http://community.webshots.com/user/cammin

Color is a Candy Apple Red with House of Colors silver flake mixed in.Pics dont do the paint justice without good sunlight....

Engine is FMS 347 solid roller, 13.8:1. The BEST of everything was used in this build. Motor sound ABSOLUTELY INSANE.

Trans is Th400(JW UltraBell/Transbrake), A-1 6200rpm 8" converter

Rear is Strange 12 bolt 4:88 (hardened/polished)gears/spool

Strange Race brakes all the way around
Hal shocks front/rear
PA K member/A arms
Wolfe rod end chromoly rear suspension
Wolfe 10 point cage
SJM ABS delete
Bogart Force 5s

Mini tubs/ cage welded in by Jerry Shaw Racing in here Marietta.

Car will be weighed and have a full tune put on it within the month. I still have to button up the interior and a few other small things. I am going to lower the rear a bit more and tuck the tires even further, I was just out of time Friday..

Thanx ALOT guys!!!!

Yup, its a FAST intake with about 40 hours of sanding/smoothing, then paint...

I should be at the track within the month. Still gotta wrap up a few things before that happens..

I wish you guys could HEAR it, pics dont do the engine justice.

What size tires on it, they look TINY in that fenderwell, lots of room left.

Is that the Wolfe T/A and through the floor SFC connectors? Wolfe mini tub kit?

Any more pics of the cage fitment?

It really does look great, congrats man.

Shawn,

Theres definately room for 28Ws EASILY. I want to run the # on regular ole 10.5s. I plan on dropping the rear another inch or so to fill the 1/4 and give it more of a tucked look.

Wolfe T/A, Global West SFCs, hand made tubs by Shaw Chassis shop.

Ill snap some more pics of the cage as soon as I get the interior wrapped up. Some of the rear panels are a BITCH to put in with the tubs, but I want a SEMI factory interior in the car.

The body kit is the one used on the GM Sunoco Camaro they built a few years back for the Woodward Dream Cruise. We(GMMG) got exclusive rights to build 30 of these kits for our current project. I got a body only because I donated my car to be clayed/scanned for the molds to produce the actual panels

The body consists of: new fenders, front bumper cover, hood, 1/4 panels, 3 piece spoiler, rear bumper cover. It is made of a combination of Carbon Fiber/fiberglass. All of the pieces installed are lighter than their factory counterpart...

And to the obvious question... No these panels are not available to the public. GM would have our necks!!!

Thanx again guys!!!

I remember the GM car from Power Tour 2004. My wife even got to go for a ride in it in Spingfield. Your car makes it look like junk and it was one sweet ride in itself.
