They are fairly easy to apply, you just need to take your time, and trim the backing paper as close to the decal as you can, makes it easier to get them into the position you want

Exactly, also use a lot of soapy water to move the decal around on the hood and slide it right into place where you want it. Get all the bubbles out with a squeege or bondo tool and let it sit and dry. Peal back the paper slowly and you'll be good to go.
