Default trans am hatch on a formula

How hard is it to change the interior molding on these things. I just purchased a trans am hatch with the grey molding whereas my interior is the tan color. Anyone done this before?

I have never done it....but if it is like the rest of the interior to take apart it should be a piece of cake

very easy just make sure when u take off the moldings that the clips come with them and you put them back in the moldings when you install them it takes about 5 to 10 minutes

Ive done it before and it a breeze chaning them.. bu you will need to change the shock tube things..the stock ones wont hold up the new T/A/ hatch! i got both of them for about $50 from kragens. And they are a breeze to chang you just need the rite tools.. also spend $6 on the rite key thingy. forgot the name of it.

I'm almost positive the trans am hatch weighs more than the formula. I just like the way it carries on the lines of the car.

Yea i agree it is a different look, i love the hatch off a WS6.

On the other hand a formula hood looks good on the Vert TA

Half the reason to have a formy is to not have that spoiler...... OH well, just not for me.
Maybe an Iroc style one though

hatch is on and looks good. Now I have to figure out the best way to wire it. ANyone who has done this before, any info or tips would be nice. Also, the plastic type seal around the outer edge of the window is missing the lower corner pieces (my formula hatch was all one piece) I'll post a pic if I can figure out how. Just wondering if or where I could score some of them.

I didn't have to rewire anything I just unplugged the wires going to the formula hatch bolted on the TA hatch and then plugged the wires back in and done. About the hatch weather stripping there is actually an updated version of this weatherstripping available. The only place i found to get it was to go to a body shop that does quality work and have them order it for you. If they are a good shop they should order it for you it isn't cheap like $125.00 or something but it is a smooth one peice strip that doesn't trap water anywhere.
