F13-f14 V.s G5x2
1-Need some track results and dyno`s .
2-What I am looking for is an axcellent low end power with not loosing any top end , what sould I go for? ( i know its hard)
3- which of them produces more TQ?
* I will be running a full weight car with stock heads and an M6 .

f13 vs. g5x2 and maybe tr224
Im really stuck between these 3 cams. Ive searched and searched and come to these three. I really want driveability but i want to run low 12's and around 400 rwhp. i also want something that i dont need to shift any higher than say 6600. what are your opinions and what is the driveablility like on a g5x2. which one do you guys recomend. i got to the track like once every 2 weeks or so. What do you guys think?

F13 on a 112+4 will be your best bet IMO. It's widely known that FMS cams are among the most streetable. The F13 drives just like stock and will make the power you're looking for.

I'd recommend going larger than the 224/224 .563 114lsa ..
Its a great cam...and very civilized. Daily driver cam for sure but I feel 400 rwhp is awesome but you'll want more as time goes on.
The advantage of the 224/224 114 lsa is that it has been known to pass the tailpipe sniffer test which is why I chose this cam... (of course my state went from tailpipe tests to pcm testing! ) but thats water under the bridge now.
I hear there is a nice add on for the cam install that makes swapping out the cam a second time a snap and a lot less labor. The two piece timing chain cover ? I believe is something to consider if thats the mod that allows much easier cam swaps.
If I had that ability to swap the cam without having to spend another 2 grand..? I'd go G3X5 cam or something similiar.
With proper tuning thats the size cam thats very impressive.

No question that the TR224 is a great cam and there are guys with untouched ls6 heads and this cam can run in the very high tens @ 124mph traps with 3.90 gears......but I still would suggest going to larger cam for a bigger kick.
Daily driver? No question the TR224 is excellent. Makes good power and gave me about 30 rwhp over stock 01 cam that came in my Z06.
Nice cam. Good drivability...emissions capable...still would have gone a little larger.
I'm not swapping mine out cause of the labor costs etc...but hindsight does have its value.
Take it for what its worth and remember its..

i recommend f13 from what ive seen, and plus theres a local guy around here who has a f13 5.3 stg 2 heads and a 90/90 setup and made a conservative 442RWHP on mike norris's dyno in orlando...

Keep in mind you are comparing 2 similar and one opposite extreme cams.
there is something called "in between"
FM11 and G5X1
Those would be more my choices with a bump in SCR/quench, wideband tuning. Power levels and good driveability depend on total combo.

See, my problem with these big cams is you have to change your lifters with close to .600 lifts and larger cams.
I don't care if a lot say the stockers will hanfle it. They will fail eventually.
So if you change lifters>you remove heads.
If you remove heads> you can change gasket and mill head.
Therefore you can run a smaller cam with same effect (usually better) than just stuffing a big one there.
A FM 11 112lsa with 11:1 SCR will yield better results than a 10:1 LS1 with a FM 13.

I run the F11 on a 114+4 LSA with TEA stage 2 5.3 heads..
I have no dyno numbers.. but i have a street race comparison to compare the power its putting down..
My friend has an 01 SS with all bolt ons expect for a pulley.. 6 speed.. skinnies up front slicks in rear..stock rear..stock suspension w/ LCA's.. dynoed 350-360 some rwhp on the dyno.. PLUS a TNT 100 SHOT!
vs.
my 2000 SS A4.. stock rear..QA1's.. built trans w/ Vig3200.. F11 and TEA stage 2 5.3 heads w/ 62cc chambers.. running close to 11:1 compression.. with stock front runners and 17" M/T Drag radials..
Outta the hole.. ate him alive.. after he shifted into second he sprayed the 100 shot.. and was pulling.. but only had about 1 to 1.5 cars on me at the very end.. but considering he is 350 rwhp +100 shot.. he is pushing around 430-450rwhp(or maybe more).. and he was pulling on me.. but not by a TON! and he had slicks and skinnies on.. and i was full weight on street trim!
and me racing him without his nitrous.. i had a good 3-5 cars on him..
I tried to compare as good as possible.. showing that the F11 cam with great driveability and some 5.3 heads.. is definately putting down its share of power!
I'll get dyno numbers soon to have a more accurate comparison.. instead of me typing a novel! =)

ive never heard about lifters failing with a f13......see things like that make me lean toward a tr224 also the fact that the 224 i can use single springs like 918's or something and not have to change them every 20000 miles like the f13 cause of the high lift

I have the same basic set up as you without the 90/90.. i'll have to dyno and compare with yours.. You have an M6 or A4?
