Default Dzus Pictures Needed

Ok guys I'm looking for pictures of hoods with dzuses. But not with the hood on. I wanna see how everyone mounted the dzus mounts and all. Tryin to figure out mine right now. Right now I'm leaning towards using a solid piece of metal down the side that I can drill the holes for the dzuses into. Plus then the hood will have a pretty solid platform to sit on. And if anyone has pics of the Mike Moran Hood and how they fastened it in particular that would help a bunch. Thanx guys

went ahead and got the Sunoco hood, i like the moran hood on a track only car where you absolutely need the clearance, but with my setup the sunoco's 3" of clearance will be sufficient and be street friendly when trying to drive around to meets and to the track.

I have done a ton of research on this over the last few weeks as well... I have a lift of SS hood sitting in the garage waiting to go on this winter...
These are the best pics I have found and honestly the best looking setup...
I do not know who's car this is but hopefully he doesnt mind me posting them up...
This is how I plan to do mine...
-Aluminum 90* plates on the side riveted into the the metal...
-Aluminum strips riveted onto to mounting plates, to clean it up and as you said give better support
-then weld up a brace to run across the front like he has here

-hope this helps

That's exactly what I was looking for! How does this guy have the front mounts hung though? It kind loos like he has a thin bar bent to the contour of the front and the mounts welding to it? Or am I just wrong with that haha

What thickness aluminum are you using to attach to the fenders?

You got it right it is just a thin bar with the Dzus fasteners welded to it. Setup works great and is really stable on the car.....(That would be me in the white hat)

I am just going to use Jeg's hood installation kit
http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...1969&langId=-1
then use 1 1/2" wide aluminum strips, not sure on the thickness yet...

and the front is made of hollow 3/8" tubing with the tabs welded on there it looks like

You guys did a great job on that car... I love it!

Where all did you secure that tubing? Obviously on the ends but is it anchored to the chassis anywhere else?

That's KECHME's car (Sean of FASTech) it looks good in person too.

I *think* the front bar is mounted to the inner bumper area and upper mounts.
