I was gonna ask if you were going to market custom headers and whatnot for the ERL stuff, but from the little bitty red section it looks like this is an in-house project type thing. I'd be curious about numbers for sure. In fact...I'd be REALLY interested what kind of bore/stroke/rod/piston comp. height combo you come up with. A 4.2x4.5 motor will need a 6.5+" rod to get a good rod:stroke ratio like some of the 427's we use now (1.5+). The ERL piece offers a taller deck than World so that should be good for FI folks that need some meat in their piston.

It is 498ci to be exact, but that is close enough for me! Stock is 345.79 so there! LOL! The rod length is going to be 6.800" and still leaves enough meat in the piston for a nice big shot of spray, or a good amount of boost. If you were building a BIG boost setup, I would go with a slightly shorter rod to beef up the piston even more. You should see this thing, VERY nice work to say the least.

Cool. That 10.2" deck is huge. I hope you get a tester soon I want to see what 500cid does on the LSx platform and how reliable this will be with the sleeves and the two deck surfaces.

I assume you would have to have a custom intake manifold? I'm still skeptical of this engine design. I'd like to see it work before I'd buy it. They run a deck spacer. Here's a pic.

Two things I read last week. The sleeves are integrated with the decking I think, and the people out building stuff will be using intake spacers or a custom one, and custom headers.

Aren't the gaskets around the sleeves though? It doesnt matter I guess, its the water passages that will get pressurized in the top-most surface/gasket area and probably carry down to the middle gasket. If that's the situation, how hard would it be to pull these decks and replace that middle gasket?
The biggest benefit to ERL stuff is 10.2" deck vis 9.8 for World. Drawbacks are all the custom stuff around the heads, 4 gaskets, and a sleeved production block. I guess the results from Norris, Race Prep, and SAM will tell the tale.
