I might be coming back to LS1s!!!
Well I made some bad financial decisions and was bitten by the bike bug this past summer. So I sold my Z28 for a GSXR and paid off some other debt and blew a lot of the money(mainly on the bike, full leathers, arai helmet etc etc). So now it's getting cold here and I have NO CAR! Well I was going to buy a hooptie and save up some money over the winter and in the spring time pick up a nice LS1 car, either a TA or vette. But, at my work yesterday, we got traded in a 01 black on black WS6 6 speed TA! The car is just what I want! My Z was a base model and I like living in a little luxury, leather seats, t tops etc etc. So it has 77k miles on it, I guess it was a daily driver, but since I work there, I get it for a trade in price of 12,800. What do you guys think of that? Around here, it seems fbodies are more expensive, so I think this is a great deal that I can't pass up. I took the car out and ran it hard, hitting gears and it pulled perfectly. It's all stock except a shitty flowmaster catback! I am a little amped up, I think I might get it, I won't know until the loan goes thru and all, I can't wait! This car is not going to get modded tho I have to pay it off first and concentrate on getting outta debt. Once it's paid off, build up motor with a turbo!!! I can't wait, I want a boosted LS1 sooo bad! Hopefully everything works out, I can't wait to get behind a LS1 again, I'll keep ya guys updated, thanks!

Haha, I know, the mod bug is soo addictive! But I really can't mod this one, until I pay it off! Hopefully by today, I'll know if I get the car or not. Do you guys think this is a good deal? The car seems to run great, 77k miles is a lot for an 01, but for the price, I guess I can't really complain, its fully loaded with every option!

I got it! This car is so much fun! I love the t tops and leather, it has every option! It doesn't feel quite as fast as the camaro, but its still pretty quick. I can't wait to mod it, but I have to pay it off now, damn it! It feels good to be back, I'm so happy!

nice job. sounds like a good car, be all over it. i envy you. im in the boat of having such a immaculantly kept car i cant justify cutting on it. i bought it with 10,000 miles on it. its never seen rain ever...never been driven in winter, and had only been to red line before i owned it. its a perfect care, but so perfect im scared to drive it. i wish i had a car i could cut on and not care about originality. it sounds like youre gonna have a bad turbo machine one day...good luck, i envy you.

But at the same time, my car has little scratches here and there and flaws etc etc, unlike your car. One day it will get repainted, but you can't tell how bad the paint is when a boosted fbody is flying someone! haha, yeah I am just saving up for that turbo now, I can't wait to get it finished!!!!!!!
7500 is an amazing deal for that hawk, that is crazy!!!!!

I said the same thing about my 98 when I had it. "I'm keeping this one stock." then it turned into just rims, them just exhaust then headers etc. I give you a month before you start modding it haha.

Yeah, I'm already looking for parts for it, but I think this one will stay "mostly" stock for now. Just the minor things, shifter, SFC's, nothing big. I don't even want a lid because I plan on turboing it, so a lid would be pointless to get. For now, I am just saving up money and buying parts to make my own custom kit.
