help me figure out why my car does this on warm starts please!!!
attached is a pic of the scan.
as you can see the iac steps just dip very fast. at this point, the rpms become fairly unstable and the STIT goes up. the friction, or startup, airflow goes to zero very fast for some odd reason. it decays fine and then all of a sudden its just set to 0. i have no idea why. this could be part of the problem but i am not sure. the fuel multiplier is also 1.00 so i dont know why it would want more air at this area. i am just wondering i have some airflow values set too high that makes the motor thinks it needs more air on the startup. im lost on this one, i have tried everything i could think of.
any ideas on what else i can try????

I think the issue is this:
1. Your LTIT is learning to a particular position at normal operating temp.
2. when you start the car after it has cooled a little (ie. your scanner shows 68 C) the base RAF is too low at that temp and once the adaptive idle engages the learned LTIT is incorrect and the STIT has to make a quick upwards adjustment.
Try increasing the base RAF at that temp a little.

LTIT is set to remember 0, when the car is warm the idle trims are all zeroed out. if i start the car cold, once it hits 60*c its all fine. plus if i increase it at 80*c once the car is driving around town, the STIT will go to -0.50.
as you can see in that pic i attached the LTIT is zeroed out anyway

my new raf? its higher than stock values. i havent used calculators i have done mine by hand. im going to try out soundengineers histogram tomorrow and see what that shows.
i made some quick changes from the setting i had before based on cold start and added airflow to 80*c and up. that iac step dip was not there this time however the idle trims still went to 0.80 on start up. i have also gone back through the tune to make sure there werent any odd tables changed. im just not understanding why on a warm start the idle trims go that high on me, then when i came back from the ride around the block, they were -0.60
