You can get the line at Oreilly (3/16"), pick up a tube bender, cutter, and flaring tool at a cheap hardware store and you can build it yourself pretty cheaply. Plus, you get to keep the tools .

If you take the time and do it right, I dont see how it wont work right, just make sure its not any leaks and youll be good to go.

tell your buddy hes an idiot. Just make sure that you get your old fittings off without damaging them and reinstall it on the new tubing before you start bending it up and flaring.

Your buddy has no clue how to do it, and he's scared. Its very handy to know, and you will use it again. Only one way to learn! If you damage the fittings you can buy new ones at NAPA (cheap). In line and fittings (brand new), you are looking at 5 bucks. Last 5' piece of hardline I bought form Oreilly cost me $3.change, and it came with the two fittings that YOU will need to repair the rear line.

Oh yeah, the knowledge you gain from doing it yourself can also be used for other things (someone say direct port? ).

just buy a 3/16 tube to 3/16 tube compression fitting untill you get the rest, it will get you going on the road.
