Smile Weird noise coming from the back....

Im 99 % sure its my rear end. I heard this clunk when the car crusses at like 20-25 MPH. For example. I would be dead stop and I will then give it some gas, and at around 25 MPH I let go off the gas and I hear like a ... tunk, tunk, tunk.
I am worried as to what it is. My car is a 2002 Camaro SS with 39.5K miles

Thanks for any help or hints !

Hey.... same exact noise I have I have been told its the spyder gear but not exactly sure. It only does it when your slowing down at lower speeds and does it like maybe 10 times in a row really fast clunking?

Mine does it too...it clunks when getting back on the gas leaving a corner and when coasting like you said. I had it inspected and they said it's just the nature of the Torsen posi unit. Nothing is broken it just gets loose over time.

The Torsens will also make that "muffled marbles in a can" type rattle on power off coastdowns also, which is completely normal.

Anyone? Did the '02 SSs come standard with the Auburn Pros or was it an option, with the regular old T2 standard??
