Default actual bore and thickness of mls head gasket

This is for a 3.905 bore

Anyone who has actually measured them, could you give the dimensions and maybe part number.

Also recommend for 10 psi sc application w/ NOS

I've been searching and coming up with different answers.

Thanks

Ok

The OEM composite gasket measured 3.965 to 3.975 bore and was .054 thick.

How does this compare to other gaskets, including the MLS gaskets from either Cometic, OEM or otherwise.

I am asking, because the bore and thickness will obviously effect CR

that's debatable. I've heard anywhere from 0.049 - 0.056. I have a set I'll be measuring in the next week or so

This is precisely why I asked the questions.

Does the Cometic MLS actually measure 3.910?

My oem's were .054 thick and slightly oval..between 3.960 and 3.975

So split the difference and you get around 3.967 before distortion.

Measured with Mitutoyo digital calipers (calibrated)

I would prefer a gasket that would better match the 3.905 bore, rather than being .060" over.
