Default Price for LS6?

My buddy has an 02 Z06 and he is putting a stroker in it so he is offering me the LS6. The motor has 27,000 miles on it and it runs damn good. Is $2500 a good price for it? Also how much could I get for my LS1 that has 37,000 miles on it?

Good deal IMO(assuming it's for the long block) a brand new replacement LS6 is around $5200.As far as selling your LS1 , my friend got $800 for his short block, and I got $800 for my short block(core ) with my stroker build.

If you dont have the LS6 intake already, you should invest in one along with the motor.

Is that the long block only? If that includes heads he's practically giving it to you, if not I don't see why you would do it.

Its definately coming with the heads, it will have everything but the intake. What do you guys think of the fast intake for the LS6? Any ideas on how much for the LS1 longblock.

The FAST is a good investment...even better if you plan future engine mods that utilize the flow capability of the intake, however the LS6 is good to. I think you could get $1500-2000 for your LS1...maybe more if you find the right buyer.
