3.73 are all around a good set, and very good if FI. 4.10's are good for light to light. the higher the horsepower the lower the gear, as you may run out of gear when going down the strip. I would say get the 3.73's. higher the gears the worse the gas mileage.

You can actually see better gas milage with city driving and 4.10's if you keep your foot out of it (which is hard to do).
Highway milage will decrease though.

Im going with 3.73s because I put 4.10s in my old LT1 car, and traction on the street was nonexistant.

when you say run out of gear, are you saying you have shift from 4th to 5th in the 1/4 ?

If you go w a higher cam, hence high RPM range, you shouldn't run out of gear in 4th w/4.10's from what I understand. All depends on your internals and other mods!

I have had the same question proposed and was told that I would run out of gear w/stock internals. Heck, I am almost out of 4th gear now w/my 3.42's!

Excellent question, as I intend on installing CAM ONLY 228/230 and eventually will be changing over to a 9".
