Default Fast 78mm Questions???

I have a quick question before i decide to buy one of these. If I at a later date decide i want to upgrade to a 90mm design. Can I just buy the 90mm top half and put it on the existing bottom half, and then it'll be just like the 90mm manifold. Need to know because i will need the bigger one in the future. Also wondering what kinf of gains i can expect from my current mods with the 78mm FAST intake. I also have a few other questions:
1. Do i require any tuning to switch these two out?
2. Can i use my stock TB with this?

If you know you'll need it in the future, just buy the 90 now and be done with it.

You have an '01 LS1. It has an ls6 intake already. 78mm FAST won't see much improvement over the stock ls6. The 90mm is a good improvement over the ls6.

But, either way, with only bolt-ons, your ls6 is all you need.

- Just the top shell can be purchased, so you would have 90mm. But as previously stated, pay once, much easier
- If you need emissions, there is a place on the fast intake for it. It's just waiting to be removed and have your egr hooked up

FYI if you get the fast manifold ,it does not come with any intake or tb gaskets,I wish I knew this before hand I would just got the slp ls6 manifold with egr provisions. You think you spend 670 dollars it would come with new gaskets or a tube of vasoline.

Even with the EGR, the fast intake is not emissions legal.
