I just broke mine the other night. Everything in the rear is fine, but two teeth got broken off the ring gear. If you want it, let me know....I'm putting in a 12-bolt next week.

Broke my side gears myself early this year. Went with a new carrier and 3.73's. I would get a new auburn or go 12 bolt myself.

I also sheared some teeth off the spider gears when my 10-bolt decided to give up the ghost. I ressurected it by putting in a new Torsen carrier. I would imagine rebuilding your current carrier would be more of a PITA than just getting a used/new one and installing it.

Man why didnt they just keep putting the 8.5" rears in these cars. I mean they make more power then ever with the weakest rear ever.
