Default LS7 clutch swap parts and numbers

I need a new clutch and I was going to go with the spec stage 3 clutch, but a lot of people are talking about the LS7 clutch. So I want to look into prices, see if it's cheapier going with that then the spec. I can get parts at cost thru my bro's shop, but I need all the parts to do the swap, also what are some of the other parts you guys are installing while you are at the swap. I need part numbers please! I know you need the clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate, what about the pilot bearing and throw out bearing, anything else? Please someone put up part numbers for everything that is needed, and then what else is just extra insurance, thanks!

Well I get it probably just as cheap as you guys do, since my brother works at a shop, he gets everything for cost, plus I don't have to pay shipping, so it should be cheapier. I am in a budget with xmas coming and every dollar I save will help. I just wanna see if I can get it cheapier. What exactly is in your kit?

BTW, I've searched, and there is no deffinite answer, people just "think" what all is involved in the swap.

Ummm what? I never said that the clutch wasn't good, or anything about the flywheel? I know I need the LS2 flywheel, the LS7 clutch, pressure plate(LS2 or LS7?) what else, pilot bearing and throwout bearing? I need to know what everyone is getting to do the swap and what the part numbers are, that's all, I have no idea what your talking about.

Just wanted to clarify that it has been done and the ls2 flywheel was the needed part to get it to work.

you get the ls7 clutch / presure plate combo, then you get the c6 ls2 flywheel (not the GTO flywheel) The pilot bearing is real cheap, and i believe the throwout bearing comes with a new slave. I dont have the part numbers on me. A quick search should turn up results though.

ok, well I looked into getting the parts myself and it came out to be a little more expensive then I thought. So where are you guys ordering your kits from? What comes with the kit? GMpartsdirect wanted 105$ for shipping, the total was around 550 for the clutch/pp, flywheel, and PB. I am assuming that doesn't come with the install tool or anything. 2002ssmalibu, is there a website where I can go to where you got your clutch, or do I have to call that number? Also, what came in your kit? ANd if you don't mind me asking, how much did it all cost? I thought I remember seeing you got the upgraded hydraulics, but I already have the 01 slave and master. I just need the clutch,pp, flywheel, PB and install tool. Thanks.

$850 for the LS7 Clutch Assembly ($370), Fidanza lgtwt Flywheel ($340), Pilot Bearing( $11), updated Slave/TO Bearing( $128).

Fidanza is 14 lbs lighter than the LS2 flywheel.

I have a brand new LS2 FW (vette) I'll sell you for my cost ($178). I decided to go with the Fidanza.
