Anyone go back and read old threads??
I just went back to my first post's to see just how what was going on back then. I wanted to get a cam but i was not sure what to get when i asked about a good sized cam{large} everyone said a TR 224 112 561 lift, They also said not to go bigger with the lift cause it was just unnessary wear on the valvetrain and the stock heads would'nt support the larger lift. My how times have changed. This was not just from the forum but from several company's on the phone. Kinda funny how much things have changed. I also think that they were only 4-5k members back then Wonder what this site will be like in another 3yrs

yeah, i think i definatley got into LS1's at the right time, now that the art is perfected... of course that means that in order to be competitive we gotta start with the new age **** like LS2's and bigger displacements and such

It still comes down to tuning, tires, and suspension. A stocker with this, plus a driver that can cut a good light will be very successful in the world of F-bodies at the dragstrip...WJ

When I joined I had my '01 Ws6.... I came here to ask the "Which exhaust is best" and "Which lid should I get". Oh and "how much HP do you think I'll gain" The same questions which make me want to now that I have heard them asked 1000 times.... But luckily back then, the guys who answered those questions had alot more patience than they do now

When I 1st found out about the this board my 1st impression looking at the "old looking" color scheme was that it was a nearly dead board & I didn't even bother looking at the threads or joining.
But the people I "hung" with on the original LS1.com board (was a member since early '02) urged me to join here as this "was" the place to go.
That's when I decided to join & I've come along, OK, a little way compared to the rest of you, but I am still learning as much as I can.
Yeah their answer always is "search is your friend".
Which it really isn't.
