Default Ok, honestly this might be the last one

I've posted alot of these threads in the last couple of weeks but this might actually be the last one. Ive driven to check out alot of T/A's in the past couple of weeks. Now I'm back to a guy I work withs friend. It's an 02 ws6 6spd with 87k miles. They are all literally highway miles because of his job. It is modded and a small cam was put in about a month ago. I drove it and it runs really well. Everything was done right to this car. He wants 11grand for it. Everything in the interior is being replaced and everything else on the car is in mint condition. So what do you all think? Does this sound like the one?

What's up with the price, sounds low (even considering the miles), and why is the interior being replaced.
In the end, you're there we aren't, if you like it get it, if it doesn't feel right, walk away

Why so cheap? Ask to take it out on a four lane. Take it up to 80 and check the alignment at all speeds. Carfax it.

Oh yeah, and check the sticker on the inside of the door to see if it says WS6.

He was asking around 13 for it but is going to sell it to me for around 11 because I work with his friend. It's a TSP custom grind cam I think 220's. The car shifts really nicely and the clutch was just replaced and it really nice also. Pretty much all the suspension mods have been done so the thing is on rails. I got it up to around 80 in 3rd gear I think and it felt fine. It is a real WS6. All of the work has been done professionally at a place called newfreedomperformance. There's not much I can find wrong with the car...nothing at all really. The kick panels were replaced cus they were a little dinged up, but nothing major. All in all I think the car is in great condition and it felt fine to me. I just wanted to see what you guys thought. What else?

the rear end might be going out, and thats why it is so cheap. see if it has a 12 bolt or the stock 10 bolt in it. at that power level the 10 bolt will not last long, and is expensive to fix, if you go 12 bolt or cheap to fix going the 10 bolt route but you will be fixing it all the time. its the weak link in these cars.
It sounds like a killer deal even if the rear is going. I would say jump on it, just know that if it has the 10 bolt in there still it will probably go out if you beat on it hard. good luck

The 10 bolt is still in there but I think he is or has beefed it up a little bit. My first mod to the car was going to be a 12 bolt anyway...especially with the power it's making.

It sounds like you like it, and ultimately that is what matters. Get it.

What's his phone number? PM me it and I'll talk to him about the car for you and find out what's really wrong with it. Don't give his number to anyone eles on this board, though, just me.

On second thought, this is absolutly true. This guys knows what he is talking about. Don't buy the car. $11K for a 2002 WS6 with 87k miles is not a good price if he has "screwed" with it -- you know, added all those mods and stuff, like a crappy TR 224 cam or whatever.

But, still, PM me his phone number.
