Pontiac-themed PCM Cover

Pontiac-themed PCM Cover
My brother Andrew vacuformed this Pontiac-themed PCM Cover for me out of plastic. This is the initial test-fitting, as I plan to paint it red at a later time to go with my engine bay color scheme. I drew up the design, and Andrew built the mold and vacuformed it for me. I designed it with the three ridges along the top so it would sort of go along with my Corvette FRCs. They're not a perfect match with the ridges on the Corvette FRCs, but it's close enough for me. I've seen other covers that are just flat aluminum, and that just didn't look cool enough for me. Besides, I wanted an original design The PCM Cover is held on by industrial-strength Velcro, so it's not going to go anywhere. So what do you think?
Pics of how it attaches can be found here: http://www.scottsrides.com/smr00tapc...r_install.html
This is Andrew's first automotive-related vacuformed part. He's best known for his vacuformed Boba Fett armor & vinyl belts that seem to be really popular with the Star Wars crowd (see pic below)
Due to numerous requests, we are going to make a run of these covers for sale. I think we'll limit them to 15-20 right now, and do this design only (Pontiac Arrowhead) for this run. Just shoot me a pm or reply here if you want to purchase one. We'll keep the cost to $30 each shipped. They'll be ready for you to finish and paint however you desire. I can accept PayPal.

Yes, I agree with you regarding the placement of the PCM. What made the designers think that was a good place? Not only is it in the engine compartment, but the wiring for it runs right next to the exhaust.

I opened my hood once after washing it and saw water drip on it. I found some cardboard closeby and put it on it, figured it was better than nothing.

There are business's that do plating on plastic parts like that.
I used to have a link saved on my old computer, but didn't transfer it a couple years ago, & can not find it now.
Go to a store that has a lot of different magazines & pick up a copy of one of the plastic modelers magazines. There are advertisement in there.
I'd like to have one of these also. But it would be better if the 'stripes' matched the size & location of the four FRC's stripes.
