Finished my intake today
Got an LS6 intake for christmas, so i figured i would sand it smooth, and paint it before it went on.
Here it is, sanded, and painted. Its a base/clear metalic silver similar to sebring silver, but from a for F-150. Paint was free.
Tell me what you think.
I know it turned out a hellova lot better than i imagined.

Looks awsome man, great job. I just recently purchased an LS6 intake as well and was going to paint it myself. I know there is alot of other people that did this but I'd like to know how you did it too. Also what do you mask off etc.

Awesome. You use a spray gun or what type of paint. About how many coats of paint and clear did it take you. Looks great

started on a sanding block with 100 grit to get the 3 bumps off, and all the rough edges, then 150, 220, 400wet, 600wet, 800wet, then off to the body shop for the base clear.

The 2nd to the last pic is with it on the car, its a little blurry, but my camera has dead batteries. I will get some better quality ones up soon.
