all you need is some kind of wax or polish with cleaners. believe it or not i used nxt which is a wax to take it off. (lots and lots and lots of rubbing though) a more abrasive polish like poorboys ssr2.5 or something along thoes lines would take it off quickly

All you have to do is get your car keys and scratch it off, i know it sounds weird but it works, just dont scratch so hard, afterwards just get any kind of polish and clean it off

whoa, ladies and germs, nail polish remover (non acetone) and a large handful of q-tips will take off the red.
then block off the top bottom and sides with something like grocery bags, then wet sand the whole panel with a very fine wet sanding kit to remover the raised plastic of the bird and logo.
once youre done, polish it all up to a shine. sorry i cant be more specific on the products, i only used the nail polish remover then put new vinyl over the area. but i do plan on removing it and blacking it out when i do my taillights. good luck

There are a few ways to do this. Choose which ever one you think you would beable to handle the best. I used:
2000 Grit sandpaper
water
Meguires X plastic polish
Basically wet sand with a spray bottle until you can't see the bird or "trans am". Then just buff in the polish, or hand buff it untill it looks shiny enough for you. Once again there is more then one way as mentioned above choose the one that is easiest for you.

Worst comes to worst then repaint it. I tried all of the stuff you guys suggested, but none worked so I just repainted it. I think mine was clear coated over.

Had your car been wrecked before you got it?
I used finger nail polish remover on mine. I left the embossed lettering and bird because I think it's a nice effect.
