I dont have a cat, so will i need the install kit or could it be made for cheaper?

You need the install kit - cat or not. It's just a small S bend pipe

so.. its gonna have to be weilded?? Thats what i wanted to avoid to save money..
I could install myself.

I have heard from others that an exhaust shop can make the pipe for you for a lot cheaper than the $80 install kit.

local shops average 7-10 bucks a weld

I had mine put in and they didnt use the S pipe conversion kit

Mine came with clamps - but I welded it. Exhaust shop could do it but most don't have a mandrel pipe bender so you will have 'some' restricted flow with the kinks, but, I highly doubt that you would notice it.

Just see if you can get it done local and yes you can clamp it if you want too. But IMO it is best to go with welds since you have a reduced chance of leaks. You could also buy your own mig machine, you would be surprised how many uses you can find for it.
