No one makes actual projector headlights for camaro's. Someone makes a halo one, but no projector.

*edited
here's a link to the projector's i found for the camaro: http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/inc/sdetail/24187

even though its a website for 3rd gen bodies, that description of the headlights should fit any 98-02 camaro, right? just wanna make sure before i buy 'em...

Here's what I want to know. If someone's looked inside both the stock and those Halo lights, which one would be easier to retrofit with projectors?

that third hole is nothing more than a hole, no projector. best place to buy them is ebay.

i am thinking about putting some real projectors in mine, i think it may be easier on the stock ones because there is more room, but the back housing of the halo ones and stock ones is exactly the same, so it would probably be the same difficulty for either, only thin to worry about it installing the projector directly behind the black (or chrome) part of the lens, if you were gonna put projectors in the high beams the application would be exactly the same as stock since the opening is exactly the same.

Ok i can tell you nobody makes an aftermarket projector headlight. However i am in the process of COMPLETLY retrofitting and building a HID projector headlight using a black halo as well. You cannot simply place the projector into the headlight as there is not enough clearance to put it into the center of the halo.
People have put it into the center of the headlight, but i think it looks bad.

If i can get it to work nicely, and it would be cost effective i will produce and sell these units, HID projector and all. But it will take time for me to produce these, as i have to build a low-beam section of the headlight.

Okay please post back when you've done a set for your car. Once you've done that if you decide to produce more sets, I mean tell everyone too but, make sure I hear about it! What projectors and what kind of xenon kit are you going to use?

ive had 3 sets of halos (the correct/common term for these headlights.) the reflector is the same as a stock headlight. the outer(more like middle i guess, the clear lens would be the outer) peice of plastic just has 3 holes as aposed to the stock 2 hole.
o and make sure u get the black ones TRUST me.

yeah i def want projectors but noone makes them for some reason, even though it seems easy enough for any manufacturer to make them for the camaro! Anyone who makes them for a decent price, im buying them for sure so i can get HIDs.

i am using BMW Xenon e46 projectors. I am only using these because thats what i had already. This is not some H7 kit. These will have D2S bulbs, which are TRUE HID's.

No glass ball. A projector lens is a big glass ball.

Here is a post I made a while back about HIDs:

The last cople links are about projectors in a Camaro. In one of the links, someone installed projectors in the stock Camaro headlight housings.

the ones on my car are the ones you are looking for. they are the same as the link you posted, i'd suggest checking on ebay because you are essentially getting the same exact thing for less money. thats where i got mine.

if thats the case, then i think im gonna go with that set of headlights and put in some xenon HIDs...although the modified projector install looks hot, i dont feel comfortable modifying my headlight assemblies or anything of the sort.
aight man, well, thanks for everybody's input...appreciate the help. i'm a new camaro owner an figured i might as well start out right by asking veterans i plan to do a lot more aesthetic mods to the car down the road, so expect more questions later thanks again fellas

ok here's my opinion. If your planning on putting true HID bulbs, requiring the use of ballasts, i disagree. Putting an HID bulb into a light designed for halogen bulbs will cause issues. It'll be insanely bright, but you will also blind drivers, there will be terrible glare, and could get a ticket for doing so. It's your car do what you want.

yeah i agree, and there are alot on here that will tell you the same thing, HID lights require a beam pattern that will not blind other drivers, like projector lenses, a quick example would be how the foglamps look against a wall, with an abrupt cutoff that keeps the beam low enough.

somebody has chopped up some c6 lights and used those projectors in a camaro, it looked pretty cool, and he did the high and low beams. once it gets warmer out i might take on that project but i dont know how much the c6 headlights cost.
