Toying with the idea of a Dana 60!!
I have a Dana 60 from a early Mopar laying in the shop. I have been toying with the idea of putting in my car. I already have a box full of calpier brackets and a set of 1.5" 35 spline axles for it. Does anybody else run a 60? I have always liked them for rockcrawling. For a decent size axle they hold up fairly well!

I've got a prototype from Strange called the S60. Check it out on their website for more info..Basically designed around the Dana 60 for the most part..35 spline axles,4:10 gears,Detroit Tru-Trac. The tq arm mount is made into the casing of the housing,so there are no welds to be broken or anything like that..VERY heavy duty. There are only two of these models out right now..They have to work out any bugs(if any) that come up,then they'll start to mass produce them.(from what Im told.)

Do you think they will get them out this year? Could you post some pics if possible.

That's cool, but how much clearance does that dana have? The housing is so big on those, my 9" didn't fit without clearancing. If everything works out good I'm sure it will be a popular rear end as a 60 would have some advantages over the current options.

Ok, here a little pic of it,from the side..Since this, I've installed a 25mm Eibach sway bar, and its damn close to the cover,if not sittin' on it.

I talked with Strange and they only offer a Track-Lock, Power-Lock, and a Locker. Do you have the True Trac or one of the ones I mentioned? I asked several times and the True Trac was not an option. These rear ends are supposed to be released in a couple of weeks, so they said. Thanks
