I know its no help, but I have the EXACT same setup as you, and running like **** I ran the time in my sig. I'm about to add longtubes, offroad Y, new plugs and wires, and probably new injectors, and I should be in the 12's.

Header choices:
Pacesetter longtubes & mid tubes
SLP shortys
TPIS longtubes
Kooks longtubes
Hooker longtubes
and your BBK shortys
You have a m6 transmission... A torque converter, aka "stall" is for an automatic transmission.

It will alllow the engine to rev higher before it will engage, like letting your clutch out at 2200-2400 vrs 1000-1200. This mod allows the engine to stay in its powerband and should be matched to the type of powerband your engine has. This will allow autos to get better 60ft times by launching harder and make the car more responsive. Thats mostly it unless you want to get into details. It has it's Pros and cons to everything.

Definitely get coated headers, the painted ones will only have paint on them for a few hundred miles.
If you dont want to deal with getting EGR block-off plates and tuning to delete the trouble codes, Pacesetter does make an emissions legal version that has provisions for the egr. Then you'll just need O2 sims for the post cat O2's. If not, just have the EGR codes and rear O2 codes delted from the pcm.
Definitely get longtubes, for the money they are by far the best bang for your buck.
