thread size/pitch of coolant temp sensor in head?

Default thread size/pitch of coolant temp sensor in head?

I have an electric temp sensor im trying to put in the other head and I need to obtain an adapter of some sort.

Pretty sure it is a pipe thread, cannot remmeber the size though.

Are you talking about the one that goes above the starter, if so M16x1.5 is the thread pitch. You'll need a 1/8" to M16x1.5 adapter. Use this thread to find where to buy one.

It is M10x1.5

The same as the end accesory bolt holes, it just looks different because of the counterbore.

is it 10 or 16? Im talking about the plug on the side of the head by the back of the last exhaust port where I can pull the plug out to put this sender in. Its the same hole they put the PCM ECT sensor in on the other head.

Looked in my parts catalog, don't see it listed. I too am interested as I want to buy a new plug.

It's actually 12x1.5mm thread, autometer and others make adapters to go from 12x1.5 to 1/8 NPT for most temp sensors.

I just checked a LQ4 head in my shop. Hole ID .412
So that would be 12mm X1.5. I used a thread pitch gage to
check the 1.5 Dale

The oil ports are 16 x 1.5, the water is 12 x 1.5mm
