So I took out the front license plate frame..
and there are two ugly screw holes on the frame. How do you guys smooth over the holes and cover them up?

Details....
* What car?
* What holes?
* What did you remove exactly (pics)?
* If its a Camaro and you removed the stock grill then there should be 6 holes.
* If its a Firebird and you removed the license place cover/fill-in the the holes are there so you can mount a license plate.

Its two holes that are used to hold the plastic rack frame thing for the front license plate. The license plate is then screwed on top of this. To remove this plastic rack you need to use the 6 pointed star shaped screw driver to remove the screws.
I would post a picture, its just that I dont have a digital camera.

Do you know what that special screwdriver is called? I was actually trying to remove my dealer-installed front plate frame today and noticed it's a weird screw that's been drilled in. Looks almost like a Torx or something but then with 3 extra little tabs spoking out. This was the only relevant thread that popped up when I searched....

Ok thanks...I'll try to pick one of those up. I've used smaller Torx (because it's basically all you need to disassemble a thirdgen, lol) but this one didn't look like a typical torx, maybe because it's so much bigger. I also wasn't sure whether to even ask here because I wasn't sure if the plate frame was even factory. I could see it being a dealer add-on depending on your state and they could vary. For instance when you remove the plate, the frame says "DOMESTIC" on it. Maybe GM buys them from a distributor and doesn't actually make them, but that kinda tipped me off it was probably some aftermarket hack job since all GM's would be "DOMESTIC", lol.

You can remove the stock black grill and replace it with a metal bar grill (as Rescue Ranger suggested) or a plastic grill or you can leave the grill off and fill in the left over holes (the 6 holes to which the grill mounted). The area behind the plastic grill is painted body color and the word "Camaro" is punched into it (just like the rear).
Metall bar grill:
Plastic Grill:
No Grill - holes not filled-in
No grill -- holes filled in
-- the search feature isnt working so well so I couldn't find a pic --
Here is what's available at After Thoughts Auto:

There are more options but thats a sampling.
