http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-Po...QQcmdZViewItem

What the hell is the 1998 SLP option?!?
Someone email the seller & ask them what that includes!

Here's my response from the seller when I asked, ...
"Fu%# you, apparently you dont know what your talking about every ls1 motor had the option of an slp upgrade"

Ignorant, stupid people, ..., **** me off, ...

Wow, that's a great way to sell a car, insult the buyer. The only SLP "Option" that I know of is the Bilstein Suspension package that included specially valved Bilstein Shocks and specially created Eibach springs. Oh, and I probably wouldn't buy a car form some jerk like that, especially with those wheels on the car and how they look. He probably beat the crap out of it.

Ugly arsed wheels, AFAIK the only F bodys with SLP options are the SS Camaros
(he probably added an SLP Loudmouth cat back )
I'd also be a little leary due to the mileage discrepancy

Those wheels really scared me, but what was worse was the response from the seller. I'm really tempted to send him a message through ebay but I'm sure he will try to tell ebay I tried e-rape him or buy the item early or something ebay calls illegal.

Here's my second response when I tried to tell him that the car really had no SLP options from the factory & someone simply put an SLP emblem on the back of the car, ...

"Your a ******* idiot I have a camaro ls1 eslp.corvette c5 slp ls1,and this fine automobile ls1 trans am so **** off you want a be sports car owner mother ******,keep driving your chevette!"

What the hell do ya suppose he means by saying he has an "slp ls1"?!?

He's so ignorant, ..., what a retard, ...

"DOESN'T COME WITH FACTORY WHEELS.....can purchase a set on EBAY for $150."

You don't see many sets of WS6 wheels for 150... maybe he meant just for shipping

"Clarical error of mileage was misapplied on title. title reads 102,000miles "

Isn't a "Clarical" (lol) error of this magnitude something that you, as an owner, might be concerned enough to have caught and/or fixed it? That whole thing sounds bogus to me. I wouldn't buy water in the desert from that guy.

First of all believe me i already hate this guy and those wheels make me wanna whup somebody there so ugly , But look what i found out about WS6 TA's..."The Trans Am WS6 is a higher trim level, tuned by F-Body tuners SLP, which added a Ram Air cold air intake, hood scoop and 15 more horses. The WS6 package is also available on the Formula, which is essentially a stripped-down version of the Trans Am. The loaded Trans Am came with an electric driver's seat, rear spoiler, unique front bumper and removable roof panels on the coupe, in addition to the Formula's high-speed tires, sporty suspension and 10-speaker stereo. Transmission choices were a four-speed automatic and a six-speed manual in which both fifth and sixth gears were overdrive. SLP also offered a Firehawk version with an optional exhaust system that bumped up horsepower to 335 hp. Traction control, ABS and dual airbags are standard on all models".......... Now we all know that that guy doesn't know this...he is just trying to sound smart or something? I say Dumbfu__! He should NOT be trying to sell that car as a SLP option as it is a WS6 (MAYBE! prolly a clone!) Most of all his actions or rather words speak volumes regarding his character and his true lack of knowledge about ANYTHING automotive! BUYER BEWARE! I wouldn't take that car if he GAVE it to me! Anyways i just had to rant about his dumb-***! peace!

I was under the impression that ASC did the WS6 and SLP did the 'hawk, but I could be wrong.

You're right, at least on some years for sure. I'm leary to ever say absolutely no SLP made WS6's exist, but I do know that most if not all model years were contracted out to ASC.

I belive in 2000-2002 there was an SLP option for the WS6, much like the SS camaro SLP. SLP put on its intake, its quad exhaust, and the Hurst shifter. From whatI am aware of, just my 2 cents.

I meant quad tip exhaust, and I do also belive there is a Harley Davidson Trans Am edition to. Remember seeing a pic of an orange one w/blue denim inserts in the doors. Had the Harley emblems just like on the truck version. Not sure what year, but it was a 4th gen.

No. There were no SLP 'options' on any LS1 98-02 cars.
SLP did do the WS6 conversions on the LT1 cars.
ASC had the WS6 conversion contract for the LS1 cars.

Fact is, ..., There were NO SLP options that you could add to an order for the Firebird.
Unless you simply chose the WU6 option. Which means you jst then ordered a Firehawk. You could NOT order any SLP option, that gave you a lid, or catback, or anything like that. Only the WU6 - Firehawk option.

Fact is, ..., There was NO 1998 Firehawks available to the public. (Don't argue the point about them making 5-6 prototypes etc., I'm not getting into that.)

Fact is, ..., The phuckin' idiot selling this car doesn't know ****.

There is no Loudmouth on that car, at least in the pics it is the stock WS6 exhaust.

SLP = Firehawk & SS

ASC = WS6

There is NO OPTIONS from SLP on a WS6. Damn car would have a world tour going from the factory to ASC then to SLP. But again, there are no SLP options on a WS6.

Peace,
Craig.
