Default Upgrading my 10 bolt, what to order and from where

I've been told it's my 10 bolt on the way out. Others have said it's my shocks. My shocks don't appear to be messed up. There is no sag or anything from there. Just looking for ideas

I Swap Gears Because It Was Making A Clunking Noise Too, And It Was Mostly On Slow Turns And The Shop Told Me That The Bearings Where Really Bad. After That Their Hadn't Been Any Noise.

How do I fix the bearings?

It's not the LCA's, I got new ones on and they are tight. Was doing it before the LCA's

If I was you, I would just save money, and get a 12 bolt or a 9 inch depending on what your needs/kind of car you have.

For 1 I have an automatic and won't really need one of those. I don't want to lose driveability, and power through a crappy 12 bolt or 9 inch. I got a project car that a 9 inch is going into. However, a 9inch and 12 bolt won't see my car. So anyways, help me choose what I need to build my 10 bolt to not break

Well sometimes a loud clunk is due to the worm gears in the torsen being partially stripped. I have seen this before in the shop just before I install a Moser. If you are keeping the 10 bolt I would suggest a good limited slip like the Detroit TrueTrac, a stud kit for the main caps, Moser axles, and a aluminum girdle cover

Did you make sure to add the GM rear end fluid additive?

I had a shop do mine incorrectly and I ended up taking it apart, buying new bearings, reset the backlash and no more clanking. The shop originally put in new bearings, so I knew that was not it. Make sure the backlash is set correctly or you will get all sort of noises. And then I topped it off with some gear oil and the additive.

I started hearing the noise from the rear about after 20 miles after the shop did the rear end for me. Since I have done it I put about 1200miles and rides like a dream. The 4.10 gears dont even make noise. Go figure.

Well mine is a stock 10 bolt. No extra additives. The gear fluid is good on it, hasn't been changed in awhil, but it's level. I'm going to upgrading the 10 bolt the same time I do my stall so I figure why not dump more into it lol.

Anyways I want the Thunder Racing cover it's pretty sexy, the Moser forged axles are a must. Now the LSD which did you recommend. Also what are your opinions on the Eaton posi. I've heard some good things about it.

Then I want 373's but what kind of gears will I need. What brand which carrier. I have the ABS, and the traction control. Don't know what else determines that

Well all the street/strip Mosers I sell I recommend the TrueTrac differential. The Eaton is a fine unit also, but the TrueTrac I believe has a 1 up in strength and also the fact there is no clutch material to wear out, and no special posi additive is necessary. For gears I would recommend either Richmond or Motive. If you need any help just email or call
