Default favorite synthetic gear oil

what have you guys had good results with? also, how often do you change the fluid. do you get an oil analysis done on your fluid?

Mobil 1 is all i use anymore...its the best gear oil out there 75-90 if you drive normal....75-140 if yer a animal.

Mobil 1 is all i use anymore...its the best gear oil out there 75-90 if you drive normal....75-140 if yer a animal.

I've been swearing by Redline Shockproof (heavy) in my stock Torsen. I never bother to send it out for analysis but I do pop the cover and check out the rear about once a month. It's holding up suprisingly well for the abuse it sees.

It has moser axles and a girdle/stud kit. Other than that, it's stock.

Normally mid 1.40s with good track prep, mid to low 1.50s at street night. Should see some 1.30s with the suspension changes I'm making this spring.

autos dont shock the rear as much as M6s do. just because some one with an auto can cut good short times on a 10 bolt doesn't mean an M6 car can.

ive had best results from Mobil 1 75w90

and of course the tube of posi additive.

GM calls for these cars to have rear-end fluid changed every 7,500 FYI
