Angry What am i experiencing?!?!

well now with the new mods (done by Ellis ) my car obviously picked up a few more ponies. Now in the rain or even when its dry out when i get on it a little, the tires i start to lose traction and i hear a weird "THUMP THUMP THUMP" sound from the rear of my car. Kinda hard to explain since ive never heard or experienced this in any other car ive been in. Is this wheel hop? what can i do to fix this? If this truly is wheel hop i think my next mod might have to be LCAs. thanks for your help guys!

Your next mod should be a rear end

oh yea vette...they were trying to tell me to get edelbrock shorties use my stock y pipe and then the cat back...then they told me im not going to feel much power and if i want "power" to buy a SUPERCHARGER...im assuming they can do decent work with the older cars, maybe they didnt have much experience with the newer f bodies? never know

My Y-pipe use to bang the floor directly under my feet. Coming from farther back would eliminate the Y-pipe if you are indeed correct.

Sounds like either your y-piipe is banging or your factory LCAs are doing the famous "clunk clunk" like some junk aftermarket ones do.....would have to hear it/feel it in person to be more specific or sure.

yeah...i kinda forgot to toss the body in the bay..whoops...
yeah but im almost positive its not the y pipe...i can double check when i drive it again, i hope its just the y pipe banging. but its ONLY when my tires are spinning. not like on any bumps or anything like that. but honestly i think its coming from behind me.

If it is in the back it isn't the Y-pipe.....and wheel hop can occur anytime you break traction whether it be from a dead stop or while moving.......I only got those clunk noises when I stupidly put on some POS aftermarket LCAs.....you may have a busted Torque Arm/mount or similar? You need to get up under the car and check it out.

most likely exaust bang. I can show you a whole bunch of spots I had banging before poly mounts. Headers, y, even intermediate pipe. Lets call it exaust bang instead of Y pipe bang so you look at the whole system instead of one little area. A few bolt-ons really isnt enough to start tearing things up. Your gonna want shocks depending on whats on the car already. If you got the SLP sport suspension the bilstein hd's that come with it arent really that good. It already has lca's + phb on it doesnt it? Wheel hop is shocks as well. the lca's that come with have rubber bushings I doubt they are banging. qa1 rods end yes but not rubber. You'd be amazed how much that exaust dances around, not to say that yuou couldnt be creating wheel hop. How much are you baking the tires when it happens? I know its in the rain but you really need to be spinning them hard to get the rear hoping. If its not the exaust I'd look at your shocks.
