bbk intake manifold.....
well I went to BBK with one of my buddies......
he was having some testing done on his ls1.......
well anyways we got a shop tour.... and I saw a lt1 prototype intake in the works.....(and it looked nice) anyways it's supposed to outflow a ported lt4.......I told the guy that I would test it on my car when it's finished....
another thing they said is that they'll only produce it if poeple show interest.......
(I hope that I don't **** anybody off at BBK for this... )

well tell them to do it right. Use all of the stock provisions and hookups on the manifolds. None of this missing EGR or vacuum ports or crazy things like that. I want a direct plug and play manifold that gives a significant gain without costing me big $$$..
Let's see what comes of it. I remember long ago Edelbrock (or was it someone else) came out with a replacement LT1 manifold that couldn't even make more power than the stock one so it was pulled.

Now what brings to question is I wonder if they're trying to improve on what edelbrock designed all those years ago. Still I wouldn't mind an aftermarket based LTx intake that was plug and play and offered gains. Composite would be nice. Don't the lsxs use a longer intake runner compared to the ltx?

I think to gain power, the intake manifold needs to be redesigned. Maybe design it so that it looks like the LS1 style manifolds, would add power on the top end.

Edelbrock and BBK are pretty closely tied I would about put money on it you saw one of the old failed Edelbrock manifolds with the dust brushed off. Something will be released to take advantage of the current market stupidity. They could release an inferior product at $500 and not keep it in stock people just want an intake. I am aware of some other R&D going on on this front and it likely would be a true upgrade, I am sworn to secrecy though. Just settle down, this thread is a prime example of why the big aftermarket companies sell so much CRAP, the meer mantion of a part that could replace a GOOD stock part whips up so much buzz the crp is on backorder even before testing is done. If people had a shreed of objectivity we could get MUCH better parts.
