Default Dyno Results :(

Well today was the big day and I was really anxious to see what my car would put down. The shop I dynoed at has only had there dyno for about 2 weeks and they are still trying to figure out all the different ways they can load the car.On the way out there I was pulling a easy 14-15 psi.On the dyno I was seeing a max of 7psi !!!!!! They tried different load settings but they couldnt get any more than 7psi out of it.No problems on the street getting 15 though.Numbers on 7psi were 468rwhp and 538rwtq.And due to the low boost the air fuel ratio was right at 10.0.Ill post up the graph tomar.I wonder what it would have done on 15psi.Needless to say Im bumbed out.

and thats on a built motor...well how dose it run on the street? thats just a number and whos knows what a turbo cas gonna do o nthe dyno...the real tuning is on the street and thats cuz of the load on the dyno as long as its fast on the street or the track right...do u have any kind of tuning softwear to run it ur car as u drive around thats where ur gonna get ur best results i think..my cars getting a turbo too and im just gonna dyno it for a base tune and a number how it drives on the street/track is what u want

The biggest problem I've seen with tuning the turbo kits is that the dyno rarely loads it correctly. Maybe see if there is someone running a mustang dyno near you? They load better, but show lower numbers due to it.

I wouldn't worry to much, you made 460+ at ONLY 7psi and you are running double that on the street. I would think your in the 700+ range with that setup.

How does it feel on the street? Try and find a dyno that can load the car right or better yet take it to the track.

I am looking at that same turbo for my car. NIce #'s. People have been having trouble spooling the GT2's on the dyno. I wonder if the turbine A/r is just so large that it cant get spooled. The .96 a/r 76mm turos dont have a problem spooling on a dynojet...

The car is bad a$$, sorry guys but it is on a Superflow. They loaded it up different ways to try and make boost. But the dyno is a month old and the guys running it dont know what they are doing. A Firehawk dynoed 315 with a D1 procharger on it last night as well.

Once they figure out how to use the Superflow they should be able to load up the car any way they feel.

Their suppose to get 2 days of training with the dyno with a Superflow engineer/tech.

i went to a dynojet last time and only pulled 600....ricers went ape. I monkeyed with my boost controller to get back the TWO psi i lost from street to dyno and nex pull.. 736. Dont sweat the dyno numbers.....use em to see where your shift rpms need to be. Weigh your car and run it and you can then easily figure out how much you are putting down

Damn it man!!! The GT42's get no love on the dyno's. I was hoping to see some big #'s. Hopefully Tuesday they figure out how to load the car. Should kept pushing the boost up like me, 18psi and a massive 474rwhp I didn't think you'd have a day like I did at the dyno
