Default Hi-flow cats with a Cam?

My mods are listed in my sig. I'm going to run the TD's out the back of the car and I'm considering getting some magnaflow hi-flow cats installed due to how loud it is outside of the car. My car is a daily driver and occasionaly take it to the drag strip. My question is how much will the magnaflow cats affect my hp? I would like to get the random tech cats buy I cant make myself spend that much on cats Thanks for the help

I don't see why not, as long as the tuning is good.

I have the 3" magnaflow's from ebay in my TD setup run out the back, and also have an F14 cam.

I had the cats and extensions put on a few weeks ago and diddnt notice any power loss. I did feel like i picked up at least 10-15 ft/lbs on the bottom end somehow. The car is alot more pleasant to drive around town now, and i dont feel like an idiot sitting at mcdonalds in a prostock

Magnaflow is about to come out with some new cats, look up the posts that Oxidizr made in this section in a thread about cats recently, he works for them and has been developing some badass ones.

Do the duals still have that deep throaty sound at idle? I don't want to lose that...just quieten it up some. and did you lose any clearance w/ the cats? Thanks man!

Merry Christmas!

Its definatly not as mean as dumped duals w/ no cats and bullets anymore, but i enjoy it quite a bit. From behind, it has a great, deep sound at idle. Theres videos posted on that page, and also a link to them in my signature. The link in my signature has a vid of me at the track, but at that time i did not have the cats and stuff.

I think I'm going to get the magnaflow cats welded into the duals and keep the dumps for now. I'm considering getting rid of the duals and going with a catted Y/catback setup...but I think I'll miss the duals sound too much.

I have the Random Tech high flow cats. Yes they are pricey but I bought used headers and saved enough money to get them. Seem to be a very good buy. Check out MTIs hight flow cats. ----->
