Default Will warenty cover this?

Do you guys think the 3-year 36,000 mile warenty i bought will cover my transmission fix, 5th gear doesnt work and some other small issues. My rear end is also taking a dump and the gears were supposedly new when i bought the car 24,000 miles ago. Do you think that stuff will be covered? It is a bumper to bumper warenty. TIA

How many miles do you have total? If your under 36K then you should be good. Its really all on the dealer. I bought mine new and had them re-do the rear at about 1000 miles due to a whine. Then at about 3K miles I blew 3rd. gear street racing and they covered that too. Dealer was great, gave me loaner and all. I know that some people aren't so lucky because it is at dealer discretion as to what they repair under warranty.

Good luck,

If you're under 36,000 miles they'll cover anything.

If those are the only mods you have on your car and it's under 36,000 they should cover it.

Well, I would say they should. You're under the 90K mile part and it doesn't expire until 2007...

It won't hurt to bring it in and ask.

{edited - I was thinking about the orginal guy}

Assuming the you're in the warranty period (even extended), they should fix your tranny unless you've done mods to it. Same goes for anything else.

*note - there are some things not covered, like paint, in some of these warranties; see the paperwork for exceptions.

i dont think so, your car is a 2000? is that the factory warranty? if so then no its not covered anymore. now if that was an extra warranty and is not explired by time or miles then its covered

The warranty is 3yr. or 36K which ever comes first. Now the extended warranty usually works like this; After 36K they can cover anything bumper to bumper but unless otherwise specified, it is with a deductable. Probably 100 bucks, still cheap compared to the alternative.

I have the GM plan and the deductable is $50. It should cover the tranny + the rear, and if your dealer says it doesn't, make a fuss.

Depending on your warrenty, if its not extended your out of luck since it expired in 03, if it is extended and your under the milage limit you should be good
