Moser 9inch and torque arm
I just bought a moser 9inch and am in the process of installing it. I have an aftermarket TA (don't know who made it) but it sits off to the side of the rear and bolts to a plate in the trans tunnel. Its hitting the floor pan / tunnel when I bolt it to the rear. Has anyone had this problem ? If so, what did you do?
Also what TA will bolt up to the moser 9inch that I have with no issues? I might just buy a new TA.

well, as tallytransam chimed in ahead of me. I had to go back to a stock TA because the edlebrock didn't fit Somewhere down the road i'll get a BMR I guess. Spohn makes a nice one, you should look into that one if you are going to spend the money.

I wonder if anyone uses the LGM torque arm (which I currently own attached to my ticking timebomb of a 10-bolt)?

I also just finished installing my moser 9 inch(spool) I have the umi body mounted torque arm, and everytime I make a slow left hand turn like coming out of my drive way it kinda rolls over then makes a very loud pop. Anyone know what this is from?

We don't have any problems with the Spohn torque arm hitting on anything. I am referring to the Spohn 405 torque arm that relocates the front mount behind the transmission, relieving the transmission of a lot of stress. This torque arm also helps to plant the rear tires on take off. Bob

All the BMR torque arms are drilled with two mounting patterns. One for stock rears, and one for aftermarket rear ends. The latter moves the TA closer to the pinion in order to clear the floor better.

I decided that im not gonna but a new TA. Today I cut off the weld-in bunds on my TA that I have and have purchased some chromoly pipe to make a new TA. I think its redickiless that I payed $2400 for something that susposed to be bolt-up and doesn't bolt-up....

I have the Sphon TQ arm, full length, crossmember mounted, I had to massage the underside of the tunnel ever so carefully with about 30 hits with a 5lb hammer. I prolly would not had to do this except that I have 3" duals running back and had to work the rear up around the exhaust. I figured it to be easier to hammer the underside rather than cut the exhaust off.
