earned the purple heart last week i'm deployed to iraq right now a little area about 20 min. away from camp fallujah, goin house to house setting up patrol bases, well i was standing post on the roof with 3 other marines and we heard a gun shot, we automatically got down and sought cover, and my leg felt like it was burning, i looked down and sure enough there was blood everywhere. i got rushed to fallujah surgical and they patched me up right away, suprisingly it missed everything just hit the meaty portion of my calf. the best part about it is that the only thing i got was a week of light duty

no word on the shooter, its a sniper that's been taking shots at us then lays low for a while, i still have 6 months left and i'll be damned if i come home without giving the shooter a double tap to the head

After the double tap you can say my favorite Marine line "He's ******* dead now" just don't do it infront of some cameras. My grandfather was lucky in WWII he was yawning and sniper got him right through both cheeks.

I had a dirtbag in my unit that was in a truck that an IED blew up next to.....this SSG crapped his pants and got a PH for it.....really no other issue but he shat himself....
Glad you are OK....well as ok as you could be still in the sand box.....hope you get home same and soon.

Keep you head tucked in your helmet! Glad to hear your okay. And I like ur attitude about the double tap, remember: anything worth shooting once is worth shooting again.
