A/F gauge question?
Not knowing really anything about FI. My buddy has an 03 Cobra and I just did a blower upgrade to it. He wants a wideband A/F gauge b/c he heard it's better than the regular A/F gauge he has now. What is the difference between the two and is the $250 difference worth it? Thanks for the education.

There is no such think as a wideband boost gauge.
As for FI it is nice to have a boost/vac gauge vs just the boost gauge.
A "Wideband Ari Fuel Ratio gauge" is probably what he is thinking about, which are high dollar. And are great compared to just the standard Air Fuel ratio gague, which is just a light show.

the regular A/F gauges i believe your talking about gets its readings from the narrowband o2's, these are extremly INACCURATE, and pretty much just a waste of money. if you want to tell what AFR your running you have to get a wideband 02 with gauge or and EGT gauge

So, since it's a blown car from the factory it doens't have wideband 02's? he should also get some 02's I guess. I don't know much I'm just the wrench in this one. We're learning at the same time.

No a SVT cobra does not come stock with a WbO2 sensor, your best bet if you care about the car is to get yourself some dyno time with a WBo2 or invest in a WB setup which will run you right around 600

Talk to these guy's about it--http://www.dynotunenitrous.com/store/scripts/prodlist.asp?idcategory=118
I'm very happy with the LC-1 with the round display. Easy install and works great.
PTK also carries a good Wideband. They have a couple of different options which are a little cleaner(not as many wires and has digital and sweep gauge) than the LC-1--http://www.proturbokits.com/store/scripts/prodList.asp?idCategory=121
Call Dalton, he can hook you up --(210)657-2706

So, would the kit that dynotune has work? The one that converts the existing gauge to a true wideband?
The one that's $200<--that's the exact gauge he's got.
