Flowmasters usually have pretty good flow ratings, and if your cat is gutted, then you're exhaust is already open enough. Switching to an SLP LM wouldn't do much in your situation except make more noise. The manifold and Y-Pipe is what's restricting your exhaust at this point. A new catback system won't do anything compared to your flowmaster. As for a high-flow cat, why would you want one if the original is already gutted out? Emissions?

I have heard that the flowmasters are good for sound but the flow just isn't there.... I dunno how much you are expecting to pick up from a catback....it's usually only a few rwhp..... but if you are set on getting the LM I would suggest thinking about how much sound you can deal with. I have the LM but I live by the "loud pipes save lives" quote.... It is a very rowdy catback expecially combined with headers and y pipe....
