Fireplace:1 Me:0
Saturday night it was cold as hell, I decided to start a fire in my snazzy fireplace... Everything goes ok, minus my mini fire I have going on, but hey, a little extra heat helps on the bills.... Well its getting late, so I let it die out, one problem though, when it starts smoldering and just barely smoking, it stops sucking the smoke out of the firplace, and ends up bringing a slight haze into the room.
Now I need some help trying to get rid of the smell. Its mostly gone, but I've vacuumed, febreezed, set baking soda out, etc, what else can I do to get rid of the faint smell? Air fresheners or what else?

Open the front door and the back door. That lets a draft pull through the house. You can even put a fan blowing out of the house at the entrance of the door and this will help create an even stronger drat towards the door. This is what firefighters do when they try and ventilate a house when the fire is out. This is similar to what the other's explained and it will definatly deodorize the house.
